Scuba dive Marlborough Sounds, Mikhail Lermontov, Top of the South Island, New Zealand
PADI 5 Star Dive Center
Kia Ora, welcome to Marlborough and the 'Top of the South Island'. Kevin, Jennifer and Bryan Bailey, owner/operators of Blenheim Dive Centre are the most experienced operators in this region and we will make sure your diving with us is safe and most enjoyable. Whether you want to dive small wrecks, the Vara or Koi, or the biggest diveable wreck this side of the President Coolidge, the "Mikhail Lermontov", we will make it happen for you.
Jennifer and Kevin have owned and operated Blenheim Dive Centre for 20 years giving them the experience to cater for all your diving requirements.
After satisfying his need for overseas travel and work experiences in America, Australia and the Netherlands their son Bryan has returned to join them in the business. Bryan has been diving the Marlborough Sounds since he was 12 years old and delights in sharing his experience and knowledge with all he meets.

Our Dive Centre is located in Blenheim, the heart of New Zealand's largest wine producing area, thus making us central to all activities happening in and around the 'Top of the South'.

Meet "Boris" the Conger eel at the "Vara". Boris will come out of his spot under the Vara and you can feed or stroke him. Extremely good dive for new divers and for photography or video. Boris will really give you some amazing shots!

Dive the "Koi" an 84 foot old steamer that plied the waters around the Nelson area during the early 1900's until coming over to Picton and being converted to a coal barge. During 1940 it was slowing sinking at her mooring so she was towed over to her present site just outside Double Cove and scuttled on the 5th May 1940, now making an excellent dive for novices and experienced divers. Plenty of plant and fish life makes this a terrific night dive.
